I'm sorry, I do feel that all users of the road should do all they can to be seen by all other users of the road. Autos should use their headlight/taillight when it's questionable/disk/dawn or dark time of day. Cyclists, pedestrians, scooters and all users other than autos should be visible by any means possible. After daylight hours bright clothing flashing lights reflective clothing is just good sense and helps your cause, but drivers also need to slow down so they'll also be able to react to anyone else in the road.
